Every person brings a unique set of experiences, strengths, and challenges to counselling. My first priority is to listen openly, understand your concerns, and gently explore the factors contributing to them.
Together, we will clarify your goals and develop a personalized treatment plan suited to your unique needs. By integrating evidence-based approaches, I will help you build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence.

The goal of individual therapy is to provide a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can openly discuss the concerns that brought you to counselling, better understand your thoughts and emotions, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and to others.
The aim is to help you achieve what you value most in life, whether that is greater inner peace, emotional balance, stronger relationships, increased confidence, resilience, or a stronger sense of purpose and control over your life.
The goal of couples therapy is to provide a respectful, balanced, and collaborative space where both partners feel heard, understood, and supported. Drawing on the Gottman Method and other evidence-based approaches, sessions focus on strengthening communication, understanding relationship patterns, navigating conflict, rebuilding trust where appropriate, and supporting you in making thoughtful, informed decisions about the future of your relationship.
The aim is to help you work toward the relationship goals you both value most, whether that involves strengthening your relationship, navigating a period of uncertanity, or separating with greater understanding, cooperation, respect, and compassion.
The goal of group therapy is to extend the benefits of individual counselling by providing opportunities for continued learning, shared experiences, and meaningful connection with others who may be facing similar challenges. Complimentary groups are available to clients who wish to participate, helping to provide continuity of care between sessions, reinforce skills learned in therapy, and foster a supportive community throughout the healing process.
The aim is to ensure healing and personal growth continue beyond the counselling session through ongoing support, shared learning, and meaningful connection, so you never have to feel you are navigating life's challenges alone.
For more than 25 years, I have worked with diverse populations across a range of clinical settings and therapeutic approaches. This breadth of experience has strengthened my clinical judgement, cultural awareness, and adaptability, allowing me to tailor care to each person's unique circumstances.
My experience includes working with adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, First Nations Peoples, military personnel, first responders, police officers, professionals, members of the LGBTQ+ communities, newcomers to Canada, and individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
From your initial consultation onward, counselling is guided by a personalized treatment plan that evolves as your goals, progress, and circumstances change. Each session builds on previous work while remaining responsive to your current needs.
Following each session, you will receive a written summary highlighting key discussion points, therapeutic insights, and practical recommendations to support continued growth between appointments.
Periodically, we will review your progress together, evaluate your treatment goals, discuss what is working well, identify areas that may benefit from a different approach, and update your treatment plan as needed. These reviews help ensure that counselling remains focused, collaborative, and responsive to your changing needs.
When counselling is complete, you will receive a comprehensive summary of your work, including key themes, progress, and recommendations to support long-term well-being. As part of your counselling experience, you will also have complimentary access to online groups and therapeutic resources to encourage continued learning, connection, and personal growth.
